Avoidable Sight Loss

Sight loss is always very sad – but never more so than when it is avoidable. We are very fortunate in the UK as the NHS provides free eye care to those who are at greater risk such as:

• the elderly (over 60 years)
• the young (children under 16 years)
• those with  a family history of sight threatening eye disease
• those at greater risk because of their ethnicity
