Avoidable Sight Loss
Sight loss is always very sad – but never more so than when it is avoidable. We are very fortunate in the UK as the NHS provides free eye care to those who are at greater risk such as:
- the elderly (over 60 years)
- the young (children under 16 years)
- those with a family history of sight threatening eye disease
- those at greater risk because of their ethnicity
Regular eye care is equally important for everyone who values their sight and their quality of life and good eye care is abundantly available on the high street. At Adult & Children’s Opticians we aim to provide the very best care and to inform and advise where we can.
All our Optometrists are accredited, fully qualified and participate in regular top up training to maintain skills.
We can carry out Acute Eye Examination (PEARS) and Extended Eye Health Examinations (WEHE) under the Welsh Eye Care Service.
